Austin's Official New Year's Eve Celebration
Austin puts on an annual New Year's Eve party on Auditorium Shores. It's an alcohol free family event with musical entertainment by local and regional bands across three different stages, food trucks, kid's activities, multiple art installations, and a light show at the Stevie Ray Vaughan statue. This is definitely a great option for NYE family fun.
Whisler's annual New Year's Eve celebration is considered a staple of the Eastside. DJ's spin vinyl sets for the party-goers. Party favors are handed out, and a champagne toast will be had at midnight to welcome in the New Year. Best of all, there is no cover because according to Whisler, "that's how we roll."
Noon NYE Ballon Drop and Bubble Wrap Stomp
Thinkery has offered a kid friendly New Year's Eve experience for years now. At noon, kids will get to celebrate the New Year with a Balloon drop and a Bubble Wrap Stomp. There will be two different celebration times so everyone can attend. Mimosas are available for adults and kid-mosas will be given to the young ones in their own hand-crafted champagne flutes.
Noon Year's Eve Party
Almost every city across the country puts on a Noon Year's Eve Party, and the City of Austin is no exception. Bring the kids out to the Lake Travis Library, and there they can ring in the New Year before their bedtime. Hats and noise makers will be handed out, and children's musicians will entertain the young crowd. Snacks will also be available. This is a no-brainer for families looking to celebrate the New Year.
