First Night Boston
Boston's First Night has been a staple New Years celebration since 1975. It's free and open to all. The event boasts a variety of entertainment such as cultural and musical performances, and many other special attractions, all focused in Copley Square and Back Bay. All NYE party goers are able to enjoy fantastic ice sculptures, light displays, as well as fireworks, and last but not least Boston's signature midnight countdown in Copley Square.
Synergy Events' New Years Eve Party
Synergy Events has put on New Years Eve bashes for over 12 years in Boston. Their New Years Eve parties are considered to be the most exclusive in Boston. Over 500 guests attend each year, offering a wide variety of entertainment and admission prices from $60 to $800. It's exclusivity offers party goers a break from overcrowded bars and clubs, and gives them a Black-tie-like experience that even New Yorkers would be jealous of. There's a wide variety of fun and entertainment to be had, and not to mention the midnight countdown.
Fireworks on Boston Harbor
Boston's waterfront is a prime location for New Years Eve Fireworks. Any spot on Boston's historic harbor is a great place to sit and enjoy the end of one year, and the beginning of another. Good viewing spots would be the North End (including Christopher Columbus Park), the Downtown Waterfront, South Boston Waterfront, East Boston, Charlestown, and Castle Island.
Boston's historic Copley Square is another great place to ring in the New Year. When the clock strikes 12 am, the sky lights up with a pyrotechnics display and light show. You can either watch it straight from the square on from the comfort of your hotel room, overlooking the square. Two hotels in particular have some of the best views. The Fairmont Copley Plaza and Charlesmark Hotel are both great options. Be sure to book in advance.
