Countdown to the New Year in Houston by going out with friends at one of the many parties in the city, or attend one of the more family-friendly celebrations. You'll find many ways to celebrate in the Downtown/EaDo region of Houston. There partygoers can find a range of bars and clubs in that area. For the hungry reveler, Christie's Seafood & Steaks has been a staple Houston restaurant since 1917, and is definitely worth a try. If seafood isn't your thing, there's always tex-mex at the iconic Original Ninfa's, located on Navigation.

Houston's Recovery Initiative provides data on reopening businesses and venues throughout the city. The city along with the state of Texas may place restrictions on events and public gatherings. This may affect New Year's Eve celebrations in the city. 

Bisou's New Year's Eve Masquerade


Kick off your Houston NYE celebration at Bisou’s New Year’s Eve Masquerade dinner. Diners in the past have had a choice of three-four, or even five course meals prepared by award winning master chefs along with live DJ music. Reservations must be made in advance. Ticket prices are usually $75 per person.

Angelucho Copacabana’s Havana Nights


Angelucho Copacabana puts on a New Year's eve party Cuban style. All tickets are VIP, and in the past have included a gourmet buffet dinner, drinks, a champagne toast, along with live Cuban music played by Angelucho's house band and DJ music. Tickets typically start at $99.

New Year's Eve Dinner Cruise


Cruise into the New Year aboard the Boardwalk Fantasea. This cruise features dinner and dancing over Clear Lake and Galveston Bay, and it tends to go on for three and a half hours. Guests also enjoy a live DJ playing top hits on the open air dance floor, two full service bars, party favors, hats and a Midnight Champagne toast. Tickets are typically $169 to $174 per person.

All That Glitters


All That Glitters is an annual New Year's Eve party that takes place at the Lumen Lounge. It is an upscale venue with a spacious dance floor, an elevated patio, and craft cocktails.The event has featured a buffet, Red Carpet V.IP., hookah, full wine bar, ball drops, confetti cannons, party favors, 6 DJs spinning dance music, along with a variety of and performers. A variety of ticket options tend to be available for both singles and couples. Dress to impress.

New Year’s Eve at City Centre


Houston's big New Years Eve celebration takes place in the City Centre plaza. The event has live music, followed by a countdown to the new year with confetti and a 60 second fireworks show. This is a family friendly event where kids are be able to celebrate as well with their own countdown to noon. Dress warmly for outdoor NYE fun. Admission is free.

High Noon Countdown


The Woodlands Children’s Museum hosts families for a noon time NYE celebration. The event features creative projects for the kids such as NYE hat making, along with noise makers before the celebration. Museum admission is required for attendance.
