South Beach and Ocean Drive are places to be for New Years Eve in Miami. It pretty much turns into one big street party where people of all ages can enjoy the festivities and fireworks. If you decide to go, arrive early because parking will be very limited. Although locals say that it's better to not drive there at all. Free Trolley's usually run until 2 am.
Fireworks Gala On the Musette Yacht
Live it up and say hello to the New Year aboard a yacht in Miami Bay. The Musette is a great place to enjoy food, drink and New Year's Eve entertainment. There you'll have access to a full dinner buffet, open bar, live DJ music, wonderful views of Miami's fire works show, and a midnight champagne toast to boot. Tickets usually range from the Early Bird package at $129, to the Golden Entourage of Four package at $625.
The Wharf Miami
The Wharf Miami is considered to be a chic place along the historic Miami River with a festive atmosphere. Local chefs from popular eateries attend this event as well. Celebrate NYE in Miami with midnight fireworks, live music, great food and cocktails. Depending on what party you attend or restaurant you go to, admission typically ranges from free to table packages at $2500.
Big Orange Drop and Fireworks
Bayfront Park on the Metromover in Downtown is Miami's iconic NYE celebration. It is another great spot to enjoy a spectacular New Years Eve fireworks show. There you'll find proper New Year's Eve entertainment with a dance party, live music and the dropping of "The Big Orange" (a 35 foot neon orange icon). Luminosa! Chinese Lantern Festival
One of the most unique ways to celebrate New Year's Eve in Miami is a Chinese lantern festival. Luminosa described as a "magical nighttime journey through the jungle strewn with hand-crafted Chinese lanterns." There you and the family can enjoy underwater wild life, and South Beach, with music food, and the iconic local scenery. Tickets are typically $49.49 for adult general admission, and $27.94 for children.
