San Jose's Plaza de Cesar Chavez transforms into Christmas. It boasts a wide variety of holiday entertainment with a ball drop, musical and animated exhibits, glittering lights, and a 55 foot community giving tree. Noon Year's Eve
Midnight might be the time for adults to ring in the New Year, but noon is where it's at for children. The Children's Discovery Museum puts on a Noon Year's Eve party for the kids, and this is a great way for them kids to celebrate before their bedtime. Lots of entertainment is to be had here with a countdown to noon and a Ball Drop. Tickets are usually $15.
The Liquid Lounge throws an annual New Year's Eve party in San Jose. This event has featured some of the Bay Area's best DJs spinning Top 40's music. DJs in the past have been Maudell, Dj Spin Dat, Beat Thoz Yazzy Yaz. Entry includes a champagne toast and a ball drop at midnight. This is a 21+ event with club attire as the dress code. Ticket prices tend to start at $25 for general admission.
SP2 Communal Black Tie Event
The SP2 Communal Bar + Restaurant has put on an annual NYE celebrations since 2013. This is an event for those looking for a balance of class, sophistication and hype. Black tie formal attire is required for this event. There guests will enjoy Top 40, Hip Hop, and Club classic music. Tickets typically start at $20, depending on the event.
